About Our Internship Program
At Fashionista Fabrics, our mission is to showcase the finest in Black and global style, fashion, lifestyle, culture, brands, and more. We are committed to engaging, educating, and entertaining our audience across various digital platforms, ensuring excellence through exceptional writing and imagery.
Qualified candidates joining our team should possess a vibrant personality and the ability to thrive under deadline pressure, fulfilling internship requirements in their respective areas of interest. Applicants should commit to a full three-month term and dedicate a minimum of ten (10) hours per week. Please note that all internships are unpaid. Upon program completion, we will happily provide letters of recommendation. *Please note that all positions are remote at this time.
Available Areas of Interest
- Contributors/Editorial: Editorial interns will have the chance to have their stories published, thereby building an essential writing portfolio for future media career prospects and forging valuable connections.
- Review and assess press releases
- Conduct research for articles
- Fact-check editorial pieces
- Maintain and create lists and spreadsheets
- Conduct interviews with story subjects
- Actively participate and contribute to routine staff meetings
- Assist in organizing blogazine-sponsored events
- Submit story concepts and written features
- Contribute to social media initiatives
- Contact potential advertisers
- Marketing/Advertising/Sales:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns
- Investigate potential advertisers
- Aid in brainstorming revenue generation strategies
- Carry out other assigned marketing tasks
- Prepare materials for client meetings and presentations
- Social Media/Web: Proficiency in navigating digital platforms like our website content management system, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram is vital for this role. Candidates should also be skilled in working with computers and Microsoft Excel.
- Create monthly social media calendars
- Formulate and implement creative campaign themes
- Publish web content and event promotions through social media channels
- Support email marketing newsletters
- Assist in cleaning and organizing email and web directory lists
- Aid in various web research tasks
- Photography: We are in search of photographers to capture industry events and assigned projects. Ideal candidates should be flexible, organized, and responsive.
- Photograph events and client projects
- Assist in pre-production and post-production tasks related to photoshoots
- Upload photo assets to the web
- Execute tasks related to diverse digital content strategies
